Research Design Service North West
Description
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funded Research Design Service North West (RDS NW) is one of 10 regional services across England providing design and methodological support to health researchers who are developing research funding applications. RDS NW supports research teams to develop and submit high quality applied health and social care grant applications to NIHR and other national peer-reviewed funding programmes.
Public involvement in research
We offer:
- support to researchers to enable them to include patient and public involvement (PPI) in their research design via our PPI bursary scheme (www.rds-nw.nihr.ac.uk/public-involvement/ppi-bursary)
- advice and support for researchers on PPI
- on-line PPI information and self-help resources, including short videos with hints and guidance, via our website
- links to the North West People in Research Forum (www.northwestpeopleinresearchforum.org), which provides information on relevant groups and networks locally and regionally who may be interested in collaborating with researchers.
